Nina Killham has lived many places in the world, but nothing has moved her like the forests of Victoria. Her art practice is an attempt to give voice to their emotions and their plight. She is an active campaigner against native forest logging. She has lived in Brunswick for ten years now and much of her photography takes place in the Royal Park and in the native forests circling Melbourne.
She belongs to the MAVA Collective (Melbourne and Victorian Artists) and has recently received a City of Melbourne Arts Grant for 2024 to complete her children’s book about urban trees called I See You, Can You See Me?
She received a PhD in Creative Writing in 2019. A published author, (Bloomsbury and Penguin) she is relatively new to exhibiting her photography but has shown her work at the following Melbourne art galleries:
